Illuminated Emblem

Night shot of emblem
Another night shot
From the battery
Cable management from hood into door
Bad picture of the black switch
I know it's not one of the most appealing mods to some people, but I thought it was a good touch on the G. This emblem is a direct fit to replace the oem. I wasn't sure how I could wire it into the headlights or fogs so I ran a switch. I semi mounted the switch in the knockout next to the fob holder. If anyone has a better idea of how to run it let me know. I'll update with some day time pictures tomorrow. The light itself encompasses the emblem. It's just difficult to get a good picture. It basically runs the outside of the emblem and doesnt bleed into the inside. As far as the actual light produces. It is surprisingly bright and might be a brighter white than the headlights by a small margin. Best light mod so far!

I wired my fog lights through the firewall for a clean install, had to go through the bulkhead rubber cover on the battery side, scroll down this post and you'll see what I did.

Great would I be able to wire into the 12v fuse like you did? I'm trying to eliminate the switch so they come on automatically with my car.

The fuse panel may be different depending on your year/model, need to confirm w/a voltmeter. Mine come on when my ignition is on.

I think it looks pretty good--I would probably prefer the light a little dimmer for a more subtle look--but that looks good as is too.

Those last two pics look better, always hard to see lighting projects w/ just pics vs. seeing them in person. What did you actually do to the emblem to get that lighting around it and what bulbs did you use?

Yeah they vary from 80-150. Most of them come with a small amount of wire though.

I'll take some pictures with my DSLR and see how they turn out. It's a kit. It comes with the emblem and wire. Unlike the stock emblem the inside is silver and reflective compared to the stock black.

This one fits all the G37s from the list on the page, and the black emblem looks pretty nice IMO, the other ones that I've seen show just the face of the emblem, this one is the whole snap on grill emblem~
