G37 Doors & Hinges
G37 Doors & Hinges
Good evening everyone,
I have a 2011 G37S with all the bells and whistles. Recently, my car got in an accident that resulted in the two passenger doors being completely wrecked. Right now, I'm on a parts hunt for two complete passenger doors of a G37 sedan. My question is: Can I use any G37 doors from the model year's of 09-13? It was brought to my attention by the body shop I'm in contact with that the wiring may be different and that can cause issues. Is there really a problem there? I know that it could be a problem between the memory seat and non memory seat doors on the driver's side, however I think all passenger doors should be equivalent, granted that I get one with Bose audio speakers (and so would the wiring harness). Please let me know if there are known discrepancies between the wiring harnesses between model year's for the passenger doors. Thank you!

I put 2009 passenger side doors on my 2011. I knew the wiring was different but got excited, forgot, and plugged in the front door. Smoke came from inside the door. I found out later that the door lock solenoid had melted. I had to replace the latch assembly with the one out of the '11 door. The door fits fine, but the front inside door panel sits about 1/4" low relative to the dash. The door panels look the same, but there is a little difference in the construction between the two. I used the '11 door panel on the '09 door. As far as I can tell everything beside the wiring interchanges. It's not a huge job to swap out the harness/s. Not sure if the memory mirrors interchange, since my original mirror was undamaged.

Thank you for your important input! I find it really helpful! I'm going to for sure avoid any pre-2010 model door years now since that's when they did the interior and exterior updates to the G. Hopefully 2010+ doors with Bose audio will work fine. And yes, car-parts is what I'm using, they have good deals actually.
