HELP: Fog lights quit working...
OK, First off, I tried searching, and didn't see anything like my issue. Might have missed, sorry if I did...
2013 G37x sedan
About two months ago, I replaced my Fog Light bulbs with Headlightexperts.com H8 LED conversion kit with the warning cancelers and anti-flicker capacitors. All was well. Yesterday I noticed the fogs not working.
1. YES they were turned on, indicator on dash lite.
2. No the hi-beams were not on, indicator on dash off.
3. Even cycled hi-beams. Fog indicator went out when Hi's selected, and came back on when Hi's turned off as advertised.
The fuse was blown... Changed it with one of the spares. It instantly blew when fogs turned on.
I have seen that LED's run off less power than normal bulbs. but use more during start up. Have seen should bump up to a 20A fuse to prevent the fuse from constantly blowing.
Any ideas????
THanks
Jeff

1. Remove warning cancellers/capacitor and use the LED bulb only.
2. Put your factory halogens back in and see if the fuse continues to blow.
You should not need to use any type of "warning cancellers" or "anti flicker/capacitors" for the fog lights on our G37 Sedan.
I been running LED fogs without any extra warning cancelers/capacitors for 2.5 years now with no issues.
First try removing the warning cancellers and connect directly to the bulb. If that doesn't work than continue trouble shooting by installing factory halogen bulbs.
