HID Bulbs

So the past few days i have been trying to replace the HID Bulbs in my 2011 X Coupe, however when i try to put int he new 8K bulbs i only get one side to work and the other side just flickers but does not power on, ive tried Lumens, RTX, and Xenon and its always the same thing, passenger side lights up driver side does not. Has anyone else had this issue and/or know the solution, cuz my lights are getting pretty weak and i need to change them.

could be a ballast issue. have you tried switching the bulbs? like the one that works on the passenger side, have you tried it on the driver side? if the bulb works on one side but not the other its prob you ballast.

Flickering is usually a ballast. I would check out the retrofit source website, they have oem ballasts and a good selection of genuine Osram, phillips and morimoto bulbs.

Did everything work before you changed the bulbs?

Also, if the reason you are changing bulbs is diminished light output from the factory bulbs, you are going to be sorely disappointed by the light output from 8k bulbs

Victory is right, generic 8k bulbs have a very low lumen count, somewhere around 400, where philips and Osram bulbs are in the 700s
