Sun Shade Visor Falling

My drivers side visor on my 08 G37 sport coupe will not return to it's normal folded resting position. It hangs down about tow inches toward my forehead while I am driving. I have to deploy it to the window where it stays fine but it will not flip back up fully to its normal out of use spot. Has anyone come across this. I did not find any threads on this. What can I expect to find if I take it off?Is it a leaf spring or coil? How does it work and how can I fix it? Tips please. Thanks.

Yes. it works fine when you need it but when you don't it is in the way. Falling out of place a couple of inches. It's like it's spring is gone , but just for that position only.

Intent

Good suggestion, Thank you. I will replace when all attempts to repair have been exhausted.

If anyone else has experience with this and knows a fix, please post. Thank you.
