Fog light question

Is the main purpose of the bumper located fog lights for form or function? On my 14, they are hardly noticeable when on at night. Could they be adjusted? I am new to the G or Q cars. Thanks!!

Fog lights are useful in heavy fog. They focus light down so you can see the white lines and the edge of the roadway. Headlights reflect the heavy moisture in fog making it difficult to see more than a few feet in front of you.

Telcoman,
Thanks for the explanation. Some fog lights are adjustable so I was just wondering if this might be the case. I guess I'm used to the ones on the SUV as they project a more even and noticeable light right in front of the vehicle.

Fog lights on SUVs and trucks should be outlawed. They are much too high to be useful and the morons who drive with them on all the time blind car drivers. Wait, this should be in the Random Rant thread...

It seems like the OEM bulb is just for form didn't even notice them on I put LEDS and it's a pretty good investment! Much brighter now and they almost match perfectly with the stock Xenon headlights in terms of color

Vizonaire,

Is it simple to replace the fog light bulbs? Do you mind sharing info on the LED bulbs you purchased? I'm interested in the better color and especially the birightness.

I found them easy to do, I just went on amazon and entered "G37 fog light led" and it should be the first two that are your options. Best advice since I'm horrible with directions is to find a forum from the past of someone who's done it. I took off my front wheel since it allowed me to access the panel instead of taking the whole bumper for a bulb. It's all plug and play ! I also changed the city lights too

here's a before and after
