Illuminated kick plates

I have a 2012 IPL with illuminated kick plates that say skyline, which the previous owner must've put in since it's not a skyline here. I was wondering if the stock kick plates were illuminated saying Infiniti or if they're not Illuminated stock... I want to change them back to say Infiniti or G37 IPL or however it came stock but I don't know if I need to get whole new illuminated kits or if I just need to swap the top plates out? If they didn't come illuminated stock I definitely want to keep them illuminated now I just don't want them to say skyline. Thanks.

Stock kickplates are not illuminated and say 'INFINITI.' Illuminated kickplates are a separate accessory option.

You can get illuminated kickplates that say 'INFINITI' from various outlets (p/n: G6950-JL100). All you would have to do is remove the 'SKYLINE' plates and install the 'INFINITI' version. Same wiring.

I am quite certain you could sell the 'SKYLINE' ones here on the forum which would help offset the cost of the generic 'INFINITI' plates.

Thanks for the info. so I wouldn't have to do anything but pull the SKYLINE plates off and pop the INFINTI plates on since it's already wired? Do you know how they come off and go on? Clips? Double sided tape? Thanks

Just remove the plastic trim piece, pop off the plate, unclip the connector and reverse for the new plate. Double sided tape holds them in place. I would use a plastic scraper or pry tool to protect the paint as the tape does not release easily.
