Indentations in seats from kid carseats

Does anyone know how to get indentations out of the back seats from car seats? I have the Chicco Nextfit forward-facing seat on the rear passenger side seat for the past year and used the top tether to anchor the back to the tether point on the rear deck. Since the backseat headrests aren't removable, I now have a big dent in the middle of the headrest. Anyone know how to get these out? Will time and sun fix return it back to normal?

Thanks!

This drives me nuts as well. A hot day should help take care of it. I've started using a towel under mine even though I usually see the dents on the back seat like you mentioned. My hellraiser is still backward facing so I didn't want to put anything where his feet would be, it's already tight putting a 15 month old backward.

Anyway, hot days and and leather conditioner should help them return to normal form over time.

I use something like the above. It helps out a lot but it doesn't eliminate the dents either.

The most noticeable problem is mainly the headrest for me. I do have one of those semi-stiff protector pads for the bottom and back and it does help a little.

Mainly noticed it yesterday when I swapped seats.

I have this mat
Summer Infant Elite DuoMat - Black - Summer Infant - Babies "R" Us

But i also put a towel on the headrest part to help with the indentation. I try to use my other car more when i can instead of the G.

For the bottom seat I used a left over piece of carpet. The soft side facing the seat and the back side facing the car seat. For the strap I pass it under the headrest.

whenever the car seats are in my car i use a seat protector which covers the base and part of the back. then, i use a thick towel to protect the upper back and headrest. i've never had an issue with the headrest indent, however you don't need to reef down too hard on the rear anchor. it does not need to be super taught, it is the LATCH system (lower hooks) which need to be tight. to be honest, that is the only area i sometimes have issues, due to the seat hooks creasing where the LATCH hooks are.

This guy got some pretty good results using a heat gun on a low setting.

I imagine it would work similarly on a headrest.
Just be careful you don't overheat the leather.
