2012 G37 Sedan Fog Light Lamp Replacement
2012 G37 Sedan Fog Light Lamp Replacement
Hi,
I wanted to see if someone could kindly provide some information on replacing the fog light lamps on my 2012 G37 Journey sedan. The glass on one of my fog lights has broken so I ordered replacements lamps + bulbs.
I was able to access the inner finder and reach the fog light to replace the bulbs etc. However, removing the fog light lamp was a bit unclear. It looks like I need to remove the chrome plastic piece to allow the fog light lamp to slide out the front. Is this correct? Or do I need to remove anything else? If removing the chrome plastic piece around the housing is all I need to do how is that piece removed?
Thank you in advance for any help provided.

Driver's side is easier to access through the wheel well. Turn the wheel inward, pop a couple of clips, peel the liner back enough to get your arm through. You will scratch up your arm, just be resigned to that happening.
Passenger side pretty much has to be accessed from underneath, because of the fluid reservoir. Also because of that, the retaining bolt on the fog housing is really snug against the reservoir, so you'll need a small ratchet wrench. A socket wrench won't fit.
There are pinch-tabs on the chrome ring that you will be able to free from the inside. Try not to break them. Some people can remove the rings from the outside... I've never figured out how.
You can't remove the honeycombed black surround on the Journey... it's integrated into the bumper skin. You can only remove that on the Sport bumper.
