Remove front seat need to disconnect battery??
Im thinking to paint my seat and I'm wondering if I need to disconnect the negative battery. I order to take it off from my car
You will need to reset your passenger airbag sensor when you put the seat back in, otherwise the passenger airbag will not deploy in a crash. You'll also have a dash light that will stay illuminated that warns you that the bag is deactivated.

did you turn on your car after you remove your seats? a member here said that he turned on his car and drove it while the seat was removed so he got the airbag code.
From my multiple experiences removing and installing seats.
1. Disconnect the negative terminal.
2. Remove seat.
3. Install seat.
4. Reconnect the negative terminal.
No recoding or lights illuminated. If you start the car with anything disconnected, an error is likely that would require resets or recoding.
I am assuming when he says "paint", he means that he is going to color swap his leather. It is actually like painting the seats (with a special type of "paint").

^^Is parasitic draw enough to completely deplete any stored charge once the battery is disconnected, or is shorting out the pos/neg leads needed (obviously while the battery is disconnected!!)?
I've never done anything additional. For mental assurance I always push a couple buttons, such as the window, to verify power has been cut off. I would guess that more than just residual power is needed to deploy the airbag.

My comment was in context of the SRS system possibly recognizing lack of an airbag even though the system is off. I suppose if the car remains off then the safety systems are not energized anyway.
Come to think of it, having the doors open should be enough to drain anything remaining.
