Side spill, cornering lights.

In my previous cars I had cornering lights which came on with the turn signals. With the G, turning into a dark sidestreet is like jumping into an abyss. The lack of cornering lights and minimal side spill from the headlights means you're most of the way around a corner before you can see anything, and good luck reading the street name too. High beams don't do much to help either.

Does anyone have a solution for getting more side spill?
