Which aftermarket HID bulb will work on my 08 G37s?
Which aftermarket HID bulb will work on my 08 G37s?
I just got the ds2 5500k Xb35,Morimoto bulbs...they cut on fine but after you start driving they turn off within a minute or so
.....sometimes both, sometimes just one...from the research I thought 2010+ models needed a certain bulb BC the different ballast, but thought earlier generations like 08 and 09 could take any decent aftermarket HID bulb...? Can someone confirm which aftermarket bulbs if ANY will work on my 08 G37s HIDs? Thanks in advance...

I have these and they work fine:

If I could do it over again I'd probably buy nightbreakers as I prefer the warmer color.

Each bulb is $100 so you are shelling out $200 for two.

^^^^^ Have these bulbs in my car right now and they are great bulbs like the CBIs but have a cooler color temperature. Equally as bright as them too, no difference in brightness between the two.
What year and model do you have ? I've heard from different threads that 2010+ G37 ballasts either worked better or worst with aftermarket HID bulbs so I'm trying to figure this out. I figured the morimoto xb35 would work just fine but they cut off after you turn them on.....and my OEM bulbs work fine so I'm assuming my ballasts work just fine......I just got the diode dynamics hid bulb in the mail gonna install it in the morning I'll get back with an update than, hoping it works to match the rest of my lighting .
In my signature, but it is a 2008 G37S Coupe.
I've had nothing but great products and experiences with Diode Dynamics. I have their HID kit for my fog lights and all interior bulbs, love them. Hopefully those work for you.

Ahhhh thank you Diode Dynamics, the bulb worked and matches up great with the rest of the setup IMO. Daytime overcast day, looks a tad more blue in the pics than in person, IMO perfect color for this type of sports coupe....Had to show some love on the rear drivers side window because they've provided all my lighting bulbs besides the Morimoto Switchback Halo and the Morimoto LED strip.
