Sport seats shiny ONLY where butt cheeks would be.

I read about the creases, bubbles, etc on the sport seats but have not read about this.

I make sure to only utilize cleaners and conditioners that would not add a shine to the leather. All my leather is still matte black, besides on the driver seat and there is two circle shine marks right where your butt cheeks would be. Is this possibly the heating element of the heated seats causing this? It is not horrible but it is there.

Has anyone else had this issue

Clean with a water-moistened microfiber towel, then treat with Lexol leather conditioner. They will appear uniformly shiny at first, then go back to matte once the Lexol soaks in.

I expected all the immature jokes, but still. Anyone else had this with there seats? Is this something they will cover under warranty?

Selym, I use Zaino Z9 and Z10 which is known not to leave any shiny marks and the only place there is that shiny sheen where where I described.

Clean the area with diluted APC and agitate with a soft bristle brush. Wipe the excess off and then wipe with a damp microfiber. Then treat with leather conditioner. The whole seat should be a matte finish.

Leather is a natural material and will develop a unique patina no matter how well you treat it. I'd do as Thirty_Seven suggests, and if that fails, it can't hurt to ask the dealer.

+1 for Lexol. Run the cleaner, and conditioner, and it should be a lot better.

in my single days I had a used 300zx and I dated a girl that I took to the beach pretty much all summer long one year , just about every time I picked her up...thongs...I loved it, but the seats definitely develop a different shadow pattern, just over those 2-3 months ...so just saying ...
