Aftermarket shift **** with OEM boot?

So I would like to change out my OEM shift **** for a spherical brushed aluminum type but I do not want to install a short shifter. I think the OEM **** is nice but it's far too tall. I had the same issue with my G35. The only issue I have is I'm worried that I will have a gap between the shift boot and the shift **** like I did on my G35. Can anyone recommend a **** that will sit flush with the OEM boot? I have done some searching and it looks like people have been successfully doing it. Thanks.
