Headlights turning on during the day on 'Auto'?

So my G just started doing this and I don't know why. I have my headlights set to Auto as you guys most likely do as well. For some reason, lately, my lights turn on during the day. Any thoughts on why this would occur?

The light sensor is on the dash.

I'd suggest troubleshooting during the day with a thick sheet of paper or towel.

See if you can get the lights to perform as they should with the sensor covered or uncovered.

Ohhhhhhh. Lol my license plate was covering the sensor. I had recently placed on the passenger side of the dash. Thanks
