Brighter Headlight Bulb for Q60?

I have a 10 month old Q60 with bi-xenon headlamps. I've converted all exterior bulbs to LED.

I was driving next to a Q50 last night, and his headlights put mine to shame... they were SO much brighter and whiter. I can only attribute that to the Q50 having separate lamps for lo and hi beams, versus one lamp in the Q60.

Does anyone know of a replacement bi-xenon bulb of equal whiteness and brightness to that of the Q50? I'd love to have that on my car.

The Q50 uses LED headlight technology, not Xenon HID. It is a totally different lighting system which I imagine will be incorporated in the new Q60 redesign.

agreed

I have the Osram CBI's for sale if interested (PM me). I'm on the other side of the fence where I felt the light was a bit white for my taste and not as bright output wise. CBI's are an aesthetic upgrade for me and that is why I purchased a set of Osram Nightbreakers which are suppose to be the brightest HID out there. They are not as white, give out a bit of yellow like the stock bulbs but damn what a night and day difference going from CBI's to Nightbreakers. CBI's looked great no doubt, awesome pure white hue but I need brightness and since I dont want to upgrade my protector setup as mentioned above (would kill for clear lenses) this bulb upgrade will suffice.

Perhaps try Morimoto XB35's D2S in 5000K?

Ive upgraded to the Morimoto XB 6500K bulbs and from the outside, my bulbs look very similar to the new Q50 headlights. I say outside because the color temperature on those cars is more 'whitish-purple' than mine which while are very white still have a yellow tinge to it.

Most of those cars also throw a lot of their light in the foreground so it gives the illusion of them being brighter.

Thanks for everyone's replies.

So I ordered, and tonight installed a pair of OSRAM CBI's. Quick installation, look great, oriented properly as they're seated flat and the light throw is perfect. However, I now hear a slight audible clunk when the shutters are engaged via the high beam switch. They work just fine, and it could simply be that I'm now more aware of them, but I don't recall them making a noise previously.

Anyone else have this slight clunk/noise when actuating high beams?
