HID replacement bulb problem

for the last 5 years i have been running 8k Hid bulbs in my car G37. I decided to buy some 5K and pop those in since i want a brighter headlight. The auto body shop took out the 8k and popped in the 5k today. The front right went in fine and looks great but the front left is giving me problems not coming on and when the lights do come on it will flash then shut off so only one head light works. We got both to come on but when i immediately shut the car off and turn it on only the front right works. Any thoughts? iv'e never had this issue until today

What brand did you install? I had the same issue using random HID website bulbs. But haven't had a problem since changing to Phillip's, which is the brand I believe come as OE.

Yep, had the instant shut off issue when a shop put in some cheap off-brand bulbs. I ordered some OSRAM CBI's and have not had any issues. The light output is great.

They are the D2S from a company called Diode Dynamics. I purchased a pair of 8k from them back in 2011 and never had a single issue. Reordered the 5k from them and I'm experiencing this issue. same d2s same company

Return them to get your money back and order 5500K XB35 bulbs from theretrofitsource

They are guaranteed to work.

Infiniti ballasts are notorious for being picky with some aftermarket bulbs. Its always a gamble. Sometimes itll work just fine, and other times itll give you issues like you experienced.

Only XB35 bulbs from retrofitsource is 100% guaranteed to work trouble free.

It's funny you say that, because the XB35's are also manufactured by CNLighting...the same company who manufactures our HID bulb replacements to the exact same specifications.

We are aware of the issues with 2011+ G37's, which is why we removed those model years from the listing. We've done our best to inform G37 owners of the issue as well so there are no surprises

I have a 09 , 6 bulbs none of them work on the passenger side. Will not auto turn on I have to flip it like 5-6 times. Only the stock bulb works.

Don't get me wrong. I love your lights. all my other lights are yours,(LEDs) but the HID's didn't work for me

I recently replaced my stock HID's for Osram CBI 5500k and I'm having issues with the light output on the passenger side. It's on, but dim. Also they light output is scattered. There are blind spots when I turn them on at night. Maybe they are both under powered or something, but I'm very unhappy. It's like they are out of alignment, but nothing was adjusted, just a swap out and in. Head scratching. Any ideas guys?

If you have somme time, I'd say swap the bulbs around and see if the issues follow the bulb or not. Could be a bad bulb or could even be as simple as not being seated properly.

I jacked up the car, took the driver side wheel off and pulled back the fender liner. Took off the HID cover and the projector housing was loose inside. I believe its broken. I had a shop install the bulbs so I can't say if it was broken prior, but correct me if I am wrong ( I have changed HID bulbs plenty of times before) they is not supposed to be anything loose inside correct? Well at least I should be getting my 180 head lights soon and the car is going in the garage for the winter soon as well.
