I just put in the XML2 fogs from DD. They were very straight forward. I'm very happy with the extra light I get out of the fogs over the stock. They are much better.

2011-2014 Infiniti G37 Sedan Fog Light LEDs (pair)

I also replaced the city and turn signals (XP80 switchback). The turn signals require the resistors. Not a fan because of how hot they get in a very short time.

$140 for 1410 lumen PER bulb is a bit expensive.

Why not go with VLEDs?

VX3 H11 H8 H9 H16 2800LM LED HEADLIGHT FOG LIGHT | 1 PAIR - H8 - H Series - Shop Bulb #

Costs $100 and the output is 2800 lumens PER bulb. Nearly 2x the brightness of the diode dynamics and costs $40 cheaper.

Yes, but those vleds look pretty sweet as well. Twice the output, that should be super bright. I just didn't see them before I ordered mine.

This is what I got from DD.
Cool White (6000K)
Bulb Model
XML2 (1420 lumens)

You guys and your math... The DD bulbs are $40/pair, and the VLED bulbs are $100/pair.

So are the VLED's actually 50% brighter than OEM halogen as they claim? Really?

lol Rochester we're talking about the XML2 bulb which is the brightest and most expensive.

The $40 one that you see is the cheapest and least bright out of the bunch.

Taken from DD website. All of these are 6000K color. (I prefer 5000K which seems to cost an additional +$20 for every bulb which is where I got the $140 price from )

$40 - HP48: 265 lumens. Slightly lower brightness than factory.
$60 - HP8: 270 lumens. Slightly lower brightness than factory.
$90 - XP80: 510 lumens. Similar brightness to factory.
$120 - XML2: 1410 lumens. Much brighter than factory. These are bright!
For $90 ($110 if you are like me and only want 5000K) from DD you are buying a LED bulb that is equivalent to a OEM halogen bulb. $90 for a bulb just as bright as a $15 halogen bulb is insane.

From VLEDs $100 will buy you a bulb that is 2800 lumens (vs 510 lumens from DD). So the VLED bulb is more than 5x as bright as the DD price equivalent bulb. You can get 5k or 6k at no additional cost.

I'd like to try LED fogs one day but I have HIDs right now and they are doing just fine. Maybe when they go out i'll switch to LEDs. I really hate the warm-up time of my cheap VVME HID kit. Takes almost 30 seconds to a minute for it to fully warm up to the correct color.

Ah, that makes more sense. In my defense, see a link, click a link.

Every now and then I run across a full fog assembly replacement in LED. That looks interesting, too. Any opinion on those?

I know my 2011 uses a H8 bulb. I'm pretty sure your 2010 does too. 2010-2013 all have the fog lights located on the lower bumper

No. Those are only 850 lumens.

I used those in my 2008 acura TL for my daytime running lights. They are good for DRL but not good for fog lights.

Those $100 led lights from vled are 2800 lumens. You'll want those for your fogs.

For reference our xenon headlights output roughly 3200 lumens. Depending on the bulb it could be more or less.

Typical halogen lights for fogs or headlights only output 1400-1800 lumens

Our XML2 replacements are 1,410 lumens (measured). Key word there is measured

Watch out for vendors who provide rounded-off lumen numbers, or "calculated" figures.

We measure all of our lighting products in-house to provide accurate figures for our customers:

We've also performed tests on most other vendor's products to verify their claims

The XML2's are indeed a bit expensive, but that's because they utilize genuine components and the most advanced construction methods. The 4000K and 5000K LEDs used in construction of the Natural and Pure white options are more expensive for us to produce due to the LEDs, so we had to adjust the price slightly.

They produce exceptional output, and come backed with a 3-year limited warranty.

If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call: (314) 205-3033

We are proud to be a supporting vendor on this forum

Thanks!
Nick C.
