(re)badging

so i bought my G completely debadged EXCEPT for the red "S" on the trunk. I'm still back and forth on what I want to do but I'm thinking about buying a trunk emblem to plastidip/paint black(still haven't figured out the best route for that) to put on there. Anyone here had any success putting an emblem on their car?All I can find is info about debadging which is easy enough since I've done it before. It's been a long time but for some reason I feel like that sticky stuff is probably very unforgiving and I'm not trying to screw it up and have it all crooked.

Also, any opinion on just having the "S" alone on the trunk? I'm going to end up doing whatever I want anyways but can't really decide if I like that.

I cast one resounding note for the removal of the S.

The image of an otherwise debadged trunk with just the S remaining is probably THE WORST combination I could imagine.

Sell the S and just get an Infiniti Fuji mountain and custom paint that - then badge it

Thats kind of where I was leaning toward, well the thought of selling it never crossed my mind but hey if it worth anything i suppose i should. question still stands though, anyone had luck attaching an emblem. Recommend paint or plastidip for the emblem? planning to black out the grille emblem as the rest was already done by previous owner. Haven't been able to figure out exactly what he used though which is bothering me since i have no experience with this at all.

Those little nifty S badges fetch about $20+ on eBay I am sure you will have no trouble offloading it. Also I would personally paint the badge before putting it on - I plan to remove my dip and the badge itself this spring and give it a proper painting

I would only use the dip on the emblem if it was already on the car, since you'd be buying a new emblem, painting FTW

Sounds good, ill paint the rear emblems. Planning to do the grille emblem with plastdip though since I think it will stand up to rocks or anything from the road. unless anyone knows of a paint good enough that could work well
