Chrome window border question

I want to get rid of the chrome window border on my 2011 sedan xs. So, I need to know if the material is actual metal and removable. I'm thinking of powder coating. Thanks.

You will want to wrap the chrome trims with quality wrapping materials rather then remove them off the car as they are extremely difficult to put back on.

Just wrap it in vinyl, the center door pillars are already vinyl wrapped from the factory so it will be a perfect match. Also the trim pieces are hard to remove without causing them to distort somewhat, this makes it hard to reinstall them without any issues.
Here's an easy DIY on it, only costs about $20 in vinyl

Yeah, mine were painted by the previous owner. I wish they were vinyl as well. They look good except where the paint is peeling off

Gloss black vinyl matches the B-Pillar. Very well, in fact.

If you want to experiment, consider working just on the belt-line trim. If you feel skilled enough for it, you can move on to the top-trim. Or you can leave the belt-line trim in matching black and call it a day. That works, too.

Another plug for Happy Buy It Now I see. I can almost smell Spring down south...in fact, I really should have put down my pre-emergent this weekend so the rain yesterday would have watered it in for me.

Damn it

When are you going to put the new fog light bezels and roof wing on?

What is that on your back window glass?

Probably not until April.

Sorry for the off-topic, OP. Blame these jokers.
