$750 to paint roof black?

Local body shop who I have a good relationship with and has previously worked on my car quoted me $750 to paint my roof black, apparently they have to remove the headliner in order to paint it correctly, and also to paint the sirius XM sharkfin.

Anyone that has gotten their roof painted black been quoted a similar price?

Most people get vinyl applied for around $200. If you're looking for another option, check out HaloEfx. $750 does seem pretty high though.

Vinyl wrap all the way, much easier and if you ever sell it and want to return it 100% stock then it's just a peel away.

Go with vinyl...less than $100. and if you want to change...rip it off. You can get very high grade Carbon Fiber look vinyl. The thinner the better. That's a ridiculous reason they gave you. Remove the headliner? That is really weird.GO VINYL.

Vinyl all the way. Cost me $120 two years ago and it still looks awesome.

It all depends on what you want. For $750 Maaco will paint two compete cars. OTOH, if you take a nice car to a highly reputable shop you will probably pay between $3000/5000 for the whole car. Custom jobs on Classic cars can run a great deal higher.
I guess what I am saying is there is a big range out there and some of the decision is based on how flush you are and how important your car is to you.
I would do the $750 in a New York Minute if the shop does good work.

Had mine painted for $500, so $750 is a little high.
