my new headlights...by me
Yea it's the same exact process just only I baked for 7 minutes at 190 degrees. And I also baked when closed everything up. I work at a factory that makes insulated glass units so we have this special glue we use to make sure the unit doesn't fog up. I took some home and applied it. Rained about 2 times since and nothing got inside. Keeping my fingers crossed nothing will happen later on down the road.
Looks nice! Should have done a clear lens conversion while you were in there to eliminate the Fresnel lens. I want to open up the lights and do a clear lens swap and DRLs but these headlights are so expensive to replace, it makes me nervous. I'm not exactly a noob either when it comes to this since I did a halogen to projector retrofit, with CCFL angel eyes and paint on my previous car. Thanks for posting, this is definitely encouragement to take the risk.
Here is a brief look at the work I did that I referred to above:

You know honestly I def suggest going for it. I was also very worried about it at first because I knew both headlights would run me about 1k to replace. There's a saying those who don't risk don't drink champaign. Go for it man. Looks like you did a very nice job on the previous car. Just take your time and don't rush.
I actually ordered the lens with te angel eyes. Should be getting it in 2 weeks so I'll be re opening it

Yep, I try to yell from the rafters whenever someone want to DIY their lights, the lens swap is almost a dramatic as the painted housing.
Just do it Ryne, you'll do just fine, just be sure to use the butyl sealing tape when you button them back up, much better than RV silicone.
