who has HID fogs? question?

who here has converted to hid fogs? when installing do you need to cut or drill holes in the stock fog light housing or is it a true plug and play setup, on my Lexus you have to drill holes into the fog light rear housing to get the wires in so thats what I'm asking thanks, just haven't looked at my stock at all.

also can you install leaving the front bumper on? once again i haven't looked at anything as its like 10 degrees out and snowing like every day. just want to know how difficult to install will be thanks in advance

If your fogs are in the lower bumper, then the Diode Dynamcs kit shouldn't require any drilling or cutting. That's the route I used, you can probably do the drivers side with the bumper on, but the windshield washer fluid reservoir will get in the way of the other side, I think. I took my bumper off and it was way easier to plug in and mount everything.

OEM fogs are not HID, so I had to use an HID conversion kit.

Full plug & play... just drop the lower shield 10 MM bolts and tuck the ballest away somewhere.

What are you asking in this question? I interpreted it as you asking me if I used a conversion kit or if I "just changed bulbs". You can't "just change bulbs" and switch from non-hid to hid.

Because if you go to diode dynamic site. They sell an HID kit or they sell replacement bulbs that just make the bulbs bright white color but no extra light that's why I asked the question....

And I just wanted to make sure we were on the same wavelength that we were talking about each HID conversion kit my apologies

It's full plug and play not drills required just buy the right bulb. I was able to install with the bumper on. Easy install.
