Fog lights on with parking lights
2009 G37X SEDAN ( fog light in the head light housing )
I'm sure this has been addressed and looked into.
What's the best way to have the fog lights on with
the parking lights or by themselves? If so, does the
fog light switch still operate?
Thanks in advance

It depends on what you want to do - parking lights, an aftermarket switch, or the OEM switch.
If you want them on whenever parking lights are on you can drive a weatherproof underhood relay off of the parking light feed and use it to power the fog lights directly (cut the OEM feed and use a fused source directly from the battery).
If you are OK with adding an aftermarket switch you can do the same thing as above but instead of connecting to fog lights use the aftermarket switch.
If you want to use the OEM switch, but you want the fogs to come on even without the low beams you need the KPtechnologies MX20. The OEM fog light switch is a part of a multiplexed communication bus so you can't connect directly to the switch. You need to decode the signal between the switch and the BCM which is why the module is needed.
