The best thing about this DIY is it's something that's simple to try since the emblem just snaps on & snaps off. You could always just buy an extra emblem to mess with and not worry about messing w/ your car in the meantime.
If you were to wire it up I'd use a relay & switch so you could turn it on or off separately from your other lights.

I would not do it myself. That said it would easy to do. Find a 3D printer and make it.

I have a spare front emblem that I'm working on doing the very same thing to. I have several single waterproof white LED lights that I'm going to try and use somehow. Ill post back when I make more progress.
