Heated seats

Is it just me or do the heated seats in the G suck? I turn them on high and can not feel them, not even after driving for 20+ minutes. The heated seats in my previous vehicle (2007 Chevy Silverado) had to be turned down after about 5-10 mins because you could feel it and the heated seats in my wife's 2014 Nissan Pathfinder definitely warm you up as well. Have to take them off of the HI setting after 5 minutes.

Not sure- I definitely feel mine within 5 minutes on the highest setting. The effect is blunted when I'm wearing several layers, but that's to be expected!

You should feel the heat within a few minutes.

Between my wife and I, we've had 5 cars with heated seats. The G37 is BY FAR the least hot of them all. I do feel them get warm, but rarely need to take them off the highest setting. All other cars I've owned had to be turned down within 10 minutes or my booty would start to burn.

Fortunately, I live in south TX, so my heated seat season is only a couple months a year. If I was in a colder climate, the lack of heat from the seats would be a bigger complaint of mine.

If you don't feel noticeable warmth within 5 minutes they must not be functioning correctly. They get uncomfortably warm to me when set to high. Even on low the heat is noticeable.

Maybe if your seats have ever been removed the connector underneth the seat wasn't plugged back in correctly?

Yeah, sounds like possible issue with your seat heaters. Mine seem to work great, usually have to turn them down to like 2 or 3 after 5ish minutes even in the cold Chicago winters.

i think they are on. i feel some warmth when i put my hand on them but honestly i wasn't sure if that was from the heated seat or from my body heat after having sat for 20 mins before i checked. i actually left the heated seat on high one day and didn't catch it until 3 days later. that is how unnoticeable the heat is.

OP - either your seats are not working properly or you have nerve damage in your rear. every G i have ever been in have comparable heat to heated seats in other vehicles. i cannot drive with my seats on High - it's way too hot and quite uncomfortable. in the morning (during winter only) i usually set mine to ~3/5 and then turn down to 1/5 after 5-10 minutes.

Lowest setting works for me. I usually turn it off after a bit unless I'm expectionally cold to start with. This is in central PA.

I generally only run mine for 5 or 10 minutes even on low ... after that it becomes uncomfortable through dress pants.

Mine works just fine. Warm enough after 5 minutes then have to turn it down.
Have it checked.
