Window tints and your electronic signals

I'm reading about metalized window tints reducing signals from radio, GPS, keyless entry, garage doors, etc.

Has anyone experienced this issue with their G?

I'm looking at SunTech's High Performance Tint. I like the fact that it claims to have a charcoal appearance. I think a light (35% or 50%) would look good on my Liquid Platinum paint.

Yup, from what I read, ceramic seems to be fine. Just that the recommended tint shop in my area uses this metal hybrid tint - SunTech High Performance.

Not many quality tint companies use the metal in their products anymore. Most of the stuff out there plays nice with electronics.

I got ceramic tint, so no issues. I can even wave my badge at the parking deck at work without letting the window down.

Don't go cheap on tint. Get ceramic. Lasts longer and made not to interfere with electronics.

Getting it done next week and going with the metallic tint above. I got lots of feedback on a local forum that recommended this guy. Nobody has had issues.

I also talked to two local tint shops using metallic tints - one of them does the cars for the BMW dealer. Both of them said that I'd have problems with AM radio, and my GPS might be off by a house or two. None of that will bother me. I'll report back later.
