Diode Dynamics LED turn signals
Diode Dynamics LED turn signals
Awhile back I noticed some type of silicon like substance below my front LED turn signals (pic 1), didn't really know where it came from so I didn't bothered looking into it as we all know what a PIA it is to get to these lights.
But now that the right turn signal wasn't working I decided to check it out if its just a loose connection or maybe the resistor or LED is dead. So I pulled out the LED bulb and replaced it with stock bulb and it works, so I pretty much determined that the LED bulb is dead. Looking closer to the LED bulb I can now tell where this silicon drip came from (pic 2) looks like the silicon used in these bulbs have melted and dripped off. I can stick my finger in the hole on pic 3 but couldn't pry the silicon off, maybe it was better that I couldn't cuz it might just fall in deeper then that's a whole new problem or and excuse to print my head light LOL.
