Can't you just jump a constant 12V when-on power source to the fog/driver light relay and use the fog/driver lights as DRLs? Well DRLs that you can turn on and off with the fog/driver light switch....

IMHO, that would look silly, on with fogs / driving lights. Kind of defeats the DRL objective. Get the OEM!!!

I like the option of being able to turn on/off DRLs...allows me to hangout in the car watching a DVD or whatever with it running without people wondering, or knowing I'm sitting in my car...wired it differently in my M3. My DRLs came on only when I put my eHand brake down....so when I'm parked with my eHand brake up I can sit stealth with my car running...DRLs is too much of a distraction...why do you think cops don't have DRLs on their cars that in civilian form have DRLs?

OEM DRL's do turn off when the E-brake is engaged. They light back up when the E-brake is released.

Oooohhh....Did not know that. Convenient for 6MT people, but most 7AT people are too lazy to put on their E-brake. I'm actually not one of those people. Force of habit in all the cars I drove...I always put the e-brake on when I park whether MT or AT. Makes it harder to tow too

in park they go off, kind of the same as using the e-brake as you are stopped then too.

Its outrageous these cost so much OEM. I "got it" when HID projectors were a big deal to retrofit and people were easily spending north of $1500 but for three little LEDs $1000 is a bit much even if its dealer installed...about 20% too high

Agreed with you there. Thankfully, I only paid for parts. No labor charges from my dealership. I used that saved money then for the orbs OnEighty did.

Also, the video is enabled for DVD play-back when the 6MT e-brake is engaged, otherwise it's audio-only. (AT cars need to be in Park.)

Pretty freaky thing to see a movie playing in your dashboard. Well, new to me, at least.

Ha! What's even freakier is what I did to my FX here:

My kids love it, it's like live GTA.

I have a question regarding the oem led lights as I'm thinking of having these installed. I understand that with regular HID lights off the running lights are on unless you apply the parking/e break. Now, my question is do the led lower running lights turn off when you turn ok the regular lights? What about when you have HID off but the yellow marker lights and tail lights on. If they do turn off is there a way to make them stay on when they are installed?
