Like many on the forum the trim around the audio controls on my steering wheel trim is flaking badly. I've ordered a replacement part online and should have it shortly. I see there are many DIY instructions online how to do this, but I was wondering if any of you have had the dealer replace this piece and what it cost? Any ideas what the labor charge would be? Thanks!

 

I got my entire steering wheel changed out under warranty. If you are still covered I would go that route.

 

I've had this done on my 09, attached is a capture of my work order.
The labor was 0.70 of an hour; the cost will depend on the hourly rate of your shop.
