Need suggestions for painting headlights

So I'm getting my headlights painted at oneighty in a week or so and I'm still on the fence about which direction I want to go. One option I'm considering is matte black with chrome accents (shroud and emblem on grille) This would match the vents on the sport bumper. If I do this I'd leave the grille as-is (plastidipped) and call it a day. The alternative is to go gloss black with blue slate accents. This would match the gloss black vinyl window trim but would mean painting the grille to match. A part of me is scared this might be come off as trying to match too much and look tacky.

I'm open to any ideas/suggestions you may have. I feel like this is really gonna pull the car together so I want to get it right.

I decided on Iron Mans with gloss black housings and blue slate projectors with a STI-R lens swap. Also doing the grille in gloss black with a floating blue slate emblem.

Should look very nice, looking forward to pics. When you get ready to paint the tails let me know, the GTR cutouts are waiting for you & would complete the look! I've done the headlights (w/ STiR swap), the trim, the grill, and the taillights still look the most factory fresh of all those mods IMO.

Steering clear of tacky is an admirable ambition. In that context, how about letting 180 strip the PlastiDip off your grille and paint it professionally?

That shadow chrome look is fantastic on that upper lens. Have the same applied to your grille, and it should all come together. It will look stunning.

Just said that they will be painting the grille gloss black with a blue slate emblem

I like it but I'm trying to eliminate the chrome.

I'm doing the housing in gloss black but I'm still not sure on the color of the shrouds yet. I either want to go flat black to match the bumper vents or blue slate to match the grille.

Your g looks clean man ! Maybe if your color match your headlights with the color of your car and leave some black accents it will look really good.
