Steering Wheel Radio Control Backwards ?
Steering Wheel Radio Control Backwards ?
So I have a 2013 G Sedan that I just recently bought after trading a 2008 G Coupe that I had previously.
One thing that bothers me, is when I have my iPod plugged in, to go to the next song, I have to push up on the steering wheel control, rather than on the Coupe, where I had to push it down. I have the Nav package.
I'm pretty sure this is backwards, considering that if i use the controls on the actual radio, pressing down goes to the next song.
I searched the forums and only saw a mention of a possible TSB for the 2010s and it was in a Canada thread.
Has anyone heard of this or have a link to the TSB (if this is even a problem) so I can get it fixed?
Thanks!

I always thought the other way was weird. To me, logic says up would go to the next track, since the number gets higher. On my audi, I press up to go to the next song. Maybe Infiniti changed it. dunno.
Yes, Infiniti has changed the track control on the steering wheel over the years.
I had a 2005 G35 and Up changed to the next track and Down changed to the previous track. My parents have a 2007 G35 and the controls are inverted. My 2012 G37 controls match the 05' G.
I prefer the controls in my G personally, but if you're used to using the controls in a certain direction, it messes with your brain when you have to switch.

For either of you guys, does the direction on the wheel match your main seek up and down button on your unit?
e.g.: On my 2013 G Sedan, Pushing UP on the steering wheel moves to the next track, but on the radio itself, pushing DOWN moves to the next track.
To me, both should match up, because it's hard for me to keep them straight sometimes.

My wife has a 2011 Murano and her's are opposite of what it is in my 2012 G37. I probably spend a good minute any time I drive her car listening to the initial 5 seconds of several songs I don't want to listen to because of this. Very annoying!
