Chrome Spoiler Molding

I was considering getting the chrome spoiler molded to the trunk and painted for the "duckbill" look. I love the look of the duckbill but not enough to shovel out 8 bills or so.

Any thoughts on it, also any idea of the cost?

Should look clean, only cost should be bondo, paint, and labor? Maybe the 500$ range?

What about simply painting the chrome spoiler? It is a slight 'duckbill' spoiler. I bought mine painted for around $100 or so.
