Window Down

Hey guys, as you know when you open the door the window rolls down a crack and up when the door closes. My 09 g37 is displaying some interesting behavior. If my DS door is open and I press the start button to ACC, then begin to close my door while the car is starting the window doesn't roll up. I'm wondering if it's a switch, window motor or something else. Anybody else notice this? Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks

- Steven

Does it operate normally if you aren't starting the car as you close the door? You could try running the window down and then up again and hold the switch for six seconds to "learn" the up position.

Yes, it's operates normally. If the car is off; open/close door window down, window up. If the car is already running, same as if car is off. I've done the hold switch relearn thing. Same outcome.

my guess is when your car is going through the ignition cycle there is a strain on the electrical system. the switch that makes the window move up and down a little when opening/closing your door is located in the door panel and has a black rubber boot on it.. open your door and play with it see what happens.
