2008 Heated seat switch question

greets
I have a 2008 G37 Coupe Sport. I noticed that the heated seat switch for the 2009 and up is (what looks like) a dial. I like the look much more than the switch. Also it looks like you can set the temp rather than just on and off high and low. My question is .....has anyone ever swapped them out? Would they work with the seats I have? I've only had the car since the end of November (traded my 06 Altima SE R on it) I love the heated seats and don't want to jeopardise the heat for a better looking controller.

Thanks for looking/helping

Cheers

I have the "dials" in my M, but the switches in my G. I don't know if the M dials are the same as the G dials (I would think so) ..... given that I like the switches. The dials aren't really setting temp number, they are basically low, medium and high. What I don't like about them is the small LED that indicates they are on, can't be seen in any sort of significant daylight and there is no dash indicator they are on. I think the "low" on the dials is pretty useless (heat or cooling) that I find myself using the Medium (same as switch "low" IMHO) or High dial positions.

you could do it but it just seems like more trouble than its worth for just a small inconvenience

Someone with the dials on their G should chime in, I've based my impressions on the M. But .... since the M has cooling and heating, functionally a dial makes sense. Just wish it either had a dash indicator or larger/brighter LED indicators.

it might be just a simple swap.

i have the dials on my '09 coupe. i'd certainly be down to try a direct swap to try it out if i knew anyone with the switches.

might be worth calling an infiniti tech about to ask.

I asked a couple techs at a local dealership. They said something about the 09+ being 4 stages or something. The 08's are only 2
