Interior lighting frustration
So I'm the one that had the blue oracle LED interior accent lighting installed in the footwells of my 37xS. I had the dealership do it (Monroeville, PA, DONT EVER GO THERE) cause I figured they'd have an easier time getting into the headlight harness than I would. Welp, once again, they F****D me. The manager there is so crooked, when they bury him they'll have to screw him into the ground. Instead of drilling the lights in, like I specified about 7 times, they just slapped some crappy adhesive on it and stuck them underneath...right by a factory installed screw that way it looked like the screws were holding the lights in. So today I made the dumb snap decision out of anger that I would just drill them in myself so without taking my time I drilled the holes with a bit before putting the screws in, tested the lights, they worked fine. But, when i put the first screw in and tested the lights, I got nothing. Im assuming when I put that metal screw through, it connected and shorted out the lights. I have a potentiometer in the glove box that controls the brightness of the lights. I dont think theres anything wrong with it, but I'm not sure. Anyone have any idea of how to fix this or how to narrow down what exactly I screwed up? I'll have to just start over or scrap the whole job most likely, correct? So frustrated right now I'd rather have papercuts on the webbing between my fingers.

Wow... adhesive for those lights, that's f!@#ed up. I would definitely escalate the issue, ask for full refund and proper installation. Did they even have a clue??
I installed the accent lights myself, I consider the installation easy. They probably hooked up the connectors to the wrong place. I would recommend you follow the installation steps yourself(if you insist doing it yourself), make sure everything is done properly.
I don't have much confidence on the dealer works, that's why DIY anything I can if possible.

Well you had them install non-OEM lights, frankly I'm surprised they did that. A custom shop would have been better. Then you in anger tried it yourself and you got it wrong .... not sure I see the issue here. Yes, it's frustrating but ......

Yeah because the OEM kit is gay. They took the blame for it and fixed everything with no cost. They failed to put an inline fuse so I put one in and they did the install over again. Didn't blow the fuse this time. Working with no problem and looks great.
