Clear lens.. Worth it?

UPDATED 11-25-17

I have a set of tsx clear lenses. Any one have these installed in their projectors? Is it worth the hassle of installing? Do you have pics of output?

Got around to finally doing it.

I added a genuine tsx clear lens and removed the secondary shield inside the projector. I’m sure you can tweak it more, but I’m happy with the results - stock on top, modded on the bottom.

Are our stock lenses the same size?

What's the diameter?

They are a pita to instal but I had them put in when I had the rest of my headlight work done. IMO one of the best headlight mods. Makes the light output so much cleaner.

1000% worth it. Output is enhanced drastically and the cutoff is so sharp and beautiful. You gain a nice blue band at your cutoff line.

5000K bulbs with TSX clear lens = ****

I agree. Someone local had them done and it makes a huge difference!

Did you guys do it yourself? Or have someone else do it like 180. If so what was the price?

It's one of the easiest mod to do once you open up the headlight housing. Unless guys are not removing the whole projector out of the slot and try to pry open the lens cover.

Op, where are you located?

The lens only makes the cutoff more sharp. It does not affect the output from my experience.

I agree, the output is based on the projector design. You wouldn't get more output, but with a clear lense you would get maybe more intense light toward the middle of the beam.

Can someone answer my question?

Are the lenses the exact same size? a simple swap? or does it require extensive work?

Well it sounds like the 2.5" TSX-R lens are direct swap as the ppl who did the swap put it.

I just want to know how to remove the OEM lens from the housing maybe some pics on how to DIY as I know weiboy mentioned pop the tabs but his pics aren't there anymore MEH
