So I was looking to paint my Mt. Fuji emblem black and to do so I'll have to take it off of the car. After I have it painted how do you get it back on? Where do you order the adhesive from and how do you apply it to the emblem and proceed to stick it back on level. Searched but didn't come up with anything. Any help guys?

Yeah, I searched for quite some time but couldn't come up with anything...

 

You can just use 3m badging tape. You can get it at any auto parts store. Like $4 a roll.

Just tape up the back, and trim with a razor.

Careful though, that stuff sticks the first time, so make sure you have it where u want it.

 

You can put painters tape around the emblem BEFFORE you remove it. That way you know where it goes back. Take pics.

 

So it's Mt. Fuji? I've heard it called the hourglass, I call it the pac-man... But this is the first time I've heard it called that.

 

Mt Fuji was the inspiration when Nissan came up with that symbol for their luxury subdivision. Wikipedia has a link to a website that talks about it, but the links are dead. This is what it used to say there:


"The new logo expresses the concept of the open road traveling toward infinity. It also suggests Mount Fuji, a Japanese icon".

I believe they replaced the "y" at the end of Infinity to an "i" due to the last letter of the name of Mount Fuji.

Dude i do it right. Order a new rear emblem and have a shop sand it down and custom paint it. That way it looks clean and OEM.
