I've heard about people doing it, but before yesterday had never seen a car that had this done...I saw one in the DFW area.
Didn't care for it myself...just seems kind of silly. As far as I know all Skylines are right hand drive because they are for JDM. The "real" Skylines I've seen in person were all right hand drive, so it seems kind of dumb to badge a left hand drive G as a Skyline.
I wouldn't say that RHD is definitive of what a Skyline is, even though it's technically true. Up until the g35s/g37s, every Skyline (to my knowledge) had a GTR version. When the G35 came out, no more turbos, no more GTRs, no more I6. So from a heritage standpoint it's not a "real" Skyline. I personally dont think rebadging a g35/7 as one is stupid per se, but it is a bit pointless considering it's just so far from what a "real" skyline is. Wouldn't really judge someone if they did it though, considering that theyre badged as 370GT skylines in japan

Not all "real" skylines are GT-Rs. The GT-R used to be just a trim level for a skyline. There have been non GT-R skylines way longer than there were GT-Rs. And there are "real" GT-Rs that are left hand drive.

I'm not saying rhd is definitive of what a Skyline is; just saying if someone has a real Skyline, it would be rhd. Putting a Skyline badge on an Infiniti G just seems dumb...

It would be like Pedro's cousin Pepe coming to the US and changing his name to Pedro to impersonate his cousin...

Lol I just meant it was funny.
But regardless, it's like saying a left-handed writer and a right-handed writer are complete opposites (not including content). When they're not, it's just a matter of preference, or rather what you're given.

The JDM version of the car was called the Honda Integra. As of 2002, the USDM version of the car was called the Acura RSX. Wiki article

We can go on and on about what you think makes a Skyline and what I think is a G37. At the end of the day, we all have a CV36 with a VQ37VHR. Anyone want to rebadge to that?

If you have a G37, you have a G37 .... if you have a Skyline you have a Skyline. If you are a dude and have a sex change you are still a dude.

I don't understand the whole de-badge / re-badge thing, are you ashamed to drive an Infiniti?

Actually, in the eyes of the goverment/law, the ^above is false. If you have a sex change operation, you are legally considering the sex you changed to.
