Cluster lights not lighting up

My cluster gauge has some lights on the gauge odometer not lighting up any more. The 4k RPM section and 30MPH section lights are now darken areas.. It seems the LED lighting display behind the gauges have gone bad. Once in a while they will flicker and light up for a few seconds and then die out. My warranty has expired and the dealer wants $1500 to repair this, replace odometer cluster, reprogram and install. Which is BS!!!

I was wondering if there is another alternative to get my gauges fixed? It is frustrating driving the car now, feels like my 300k mile Integra that had the same problem but was an easy fix; all you needed to do is replace the light bulbs. The ones in our G's are solder LED. I would attempt to fix this but afraid to break something that I would regret doing. Anyone know of someone whom can fix this or show that this is an easy task?

Thanks
