Tinted windows on coupe

I just bought an '09 G37x Coupe. My first car purchase, so I'm pretty excited. It doesn't have tinted windows, so I'm debating on whether I should get them tinted and advice on how dark, etc.

I live in Texas, so the heat and sun are an issue, but I do park in a garage at work and home. I know the Texas state law allows no more than 25% on the front but as dark as I want in the back. How does the coupe look with darker tint in the back than the front? Part of me thinks that would look kind of stupid, but I could also seeing it making sense if there is no additional cost.

Overall, any advice on window tinting would be appreciated as this is all new to me! Thanks.

Texas law recently changed. It went from 35% to 25% for the front tint. On the rear and the rear window you have have it however dark you want.

I have 35% Tint in the rear cause that's how I got it when I bought my back car in 08.

Do a search, there are millions of posts. I would say yes to tint but YOU have to decide to stay legal or not. I stayed legal since the G is not a inconspicious car. Remember you have factory tint. For me: 45% Carbon plus factory equals 37-38% and 35% is legal for MD.

On my G I have it as 30% in the front and 15% in the rears it is a good mix for my needs. Honestly, between the different tint levels there isn't much difference in heat reduction. Again, I like it on mine and it is kinda hard to tell that the tint is mixed shades.

Its personal preference really, but I hate when cars have different shades of tint front to back. Id ask around with people in your area how strict cops are about it and if you want to risk going with an illegal %. Im in Maryland where legal limit is 35% I believe, and I rock 15% all around with no issues whatsoever, even having been pulled over for other reasons.

Make it match front to rear no matter what % you use. Different shades front to rear looks lame.

Just go to the legal point. The G will look better w/ a tint.

With less light getting towards the back vs the front makes the back tint look darker than it is most the time as well. 25% with black interior would look fairly dark.
