Window Problems During Winter?
Window Problems During Winter?
I tried searching the forums for this but didn't come up with anything.
As everyone knows when you unlock or go to open the doors, the windows slightly move up and down to clear/ provide a seal into the frame. My question is whether this has been an issue for anyone during the winter? I can see an ice storm or just even a normal nor'easter icing the window to a point where it can't move and potentially damaging the window motor.

i would say your worry is valid. we had a very mild winter this year, so i am unable to comment on the "ice storm".
i would say however, that if the window does NOT move down you could damage your roof cowling or the window itself. best bet is to scrap the ice off the window before you open your door....for this reason, i keep my scraper in the trunk...not that is much better if the trunk is frozen shut.
