For the 7AT Shift **** Users

Do you guys have this problem?
I tend to use the tiptronic more than using it on "D" and "DS".
Was thinking about replacing it for the M series shifter.

Yep. Sure do.

Infiniti didn't even put an aluminum piece in there, it's just painted plastic. I do think you can remove that piece and paint it again. I'm waiting to do mine when I figure out what color suede I'm going with for the accents in the interior...if I decide to do that and not CF everything.

I'm pretty sure CFE just did that piece of the **** in CF....I think I saw a picture of it anyway.

I don't know how you're driving but it's wrong. I have had my 6MT (where you actually have to shift) since 2007 and it's doesn't have a scratch on the metal insert. Ease up on the pressure or lose the jewelry.

Holy crap man. I don't know what you are doing wrong, but it must be something. Mine is going on 2 years old now and there isn't a scratch on it.

Yeah I was suprised.. They should've put an aluminum piece instead of plastic.. I want to remove it at least and repaint it black.

My steering wheel looks perfectly fine like brand new lol. I don't wear any rings like Lebron James.
