Still looking for a decent hood?
Does anyone make a decent CF hood for us. I really like the GTR hood for the 370Z, Why cant we get something like that. I really do not feel all the vents on the hood . Just looking for something subtle.

Wow im glad to know im not the only one completely diappointed in the aftermarket hoods for our cars! We need better options for sure!! No shoddy fitment and cheap materials(gel coat or thin cheap clear coat)

LOL same here man. The main reasons I decided against it are
1. that's a lot of money for something that doesn't fit 100% right. People are saying it fits 95-98% right...but for close to $1,000 that sucker better be spot on!
2. I'm worried about water getting in the engine bay. I had a heat extractor hood on my Mustang and the vents had built in drains that carry the water down the fender, but the ones available for our cars just open up into the engine bay. With all the rain we get here in FL during the summer/hurricane season, I don't feel like flooding my engine bay.
3. After looking at the hood some more, I agree with others...the vents may be a little TOO exaggerated for our cars. The G is a sport luxury car, not an all out racer. Something like the GTR hood would look much better.

DR.Pat , Agree with the Water in the bay, but with FI you need to have some type on heat release. Some of us actual "NEED" a hood. LOL . I would have stay with the stocker IN CF to but the heat under there is crazy and we have not even seen any real hot weather yet.. Will have full reveiw of it with pics when I get it..
