black headliner?

black headliner?

has anyone re-wrapped the headliner in black at all? it doesnt look like it would be too complicated, other than forming all the little curvatures... what is everyones thoughts on the idea?

People have done it. I have seen suede several times on our car and on many G35's.

My headliner is lined in all Black Suede. It came out great. WAAAY better than a khaki headliner IMO

RRDLINE, can we see some pictures? I want to do mine in a greyish charcoal suede but my biggest concern was all the plastic in the headliner thats tan.. did you paint that or what?

I don't have any pics but I'll snap some with my iPhone real quick. I left the khaki plastics untouched. Would love to paint them but have never got around to it.

Thanks, I just dont know if I'd want to do like a gloss black, or a matter black, something that would just make them look like they were originally black plastic.

^^ Thats exactly how mine looks, except i have khaki plastics. The dark grey plastics look a lot better of course.

My friends mom has her headliner done in black suede, it looks amazing. I always joke and say I'm gonna swap mine with hers one day lol

I'm also planning to do this. I know the oem headliner is about $680. But its precut. All you have to do is install it. what kind of material should I get for the headliner? Vinyl or leather?

That looks awesome, but I'd want a little lighter, more greyish than black.
