moisture inside right headlight? used 08 coupe
^ Thanks
Also, other things to look out for are, make sure you closed your caps back on correctly, I've seen numerous lights with the caps put on incorrectly. Another, if you were involved in a small fender bender and it doesn't appear you have damage, double check, because hairline cracks can cause this also. One last one is, don't drill into the headlights to install aftermarket ballasts, I've seen this once, this can be another source of condensation.

yeah...don't do this. I've tried sealing it back up with JB Weld putty and silicone caulk but there's still moisture inside. I bought some silica gel packs to throw in there to take out the moisture...hopefully that will work.

yea i still have the factory warranty, but my dad said that if nothing is "broken" then they won't do anything about it. how did you convince them to send you new lights? i heard they're pretty expensive too, like $600
I got both headlights with new harnesses and ballasts.... mechanic told me they were in the ballpark of $1800. My dealer takes extremely good care of me, and my headlights were fine, just had some regular rock pits from 3-4 years of wear and tear, I decided I wanted new lights, so I told my service writer my plan of putting water inside to make them condensate and she said go for it.... did my thing and boom, new headlights ordered.
Looks like they actually cost more than what I said, Infiniti Parts lists the coupe with technology package as MSRP: $1455 per side, and they're price as $1061. If theres condensation, and its not a normal amount, where it goes away after 30-40 minutes with the lights on in the day time, they should replace them.
Yeah I would go complain to your service writer or manager. They're very expensive so the manager has to approve it, but condensation is covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. Now if they have been pulled out of the car previously or any modifications have been done, it my make things more difficult but just don't back down. Some dealerships are harder to get work done than others. Which I'm not sure why, Nissan/Infiniti dealerships make 45% commission off of warranty work. You getting work done puts money in all of their pockets.
I've actually been to my dealership so many times since I purchased my car a month ago that the service manager came and offered me a job today as I was there having more work completed (both headlights, shift ****, seat cushion and leather and door seals)
Yeah so I might go see what they have to offer, just as a summer job in the mornings before I go to my normal job (start at 5PM) so maybe I'll be able to hook everyone up with cheap parts lol
Ahh ic. I'm in Cali bay area. Imma take mine in to get them to replace the steering will it has scratches on it. And get brakes and hopefully headlights jus for the heck of it. Will see how it goes.
