If you are talking about the chrome piece only, then it's best to remove it, sand it down, and then paint it.

But like Gville37 said, it's best to get the add-on spoiler, since it hides the chrome piece (actually replace it), and you also gain a 3rd led brake strip. I like this option better if you have the budget, since it gives even more "sports" look to it!

Neither, get the spoiler. Or If you don't want to then paint it. Vinyl is stupid

oh well, probably wants to save the money from buying the spoiler. OEM spoiler's quite exp lol.

I, myself, painted my chrome piece, just personal taste, because i didnt want the spoiler to be too big. (However, didn't do good on the painting myself).

Trying to save money? plasti dip it!

Or search for used spoiler "ebay, CL", or contact Alex, 180custom, he has OEM spoilers for sale.

chrome lip or real spoiler, plasti-dipping or vinyl will make it look like a pimple in the middle of your nose.
totally out of place, and like you couldnt afford to have it painted yet(primered)

keep the $30-$40k car, a $30-$40k car.

Outstanding! Where can I get one?

Yeah, I don't get it ... people drop a lot of money on a car and want to find the cheapest, ugliest solutions to things that will just end up looking like crap.
I put on a factory spoiler, illuminated sills and ambient light kit. Of course they were all too expensive but they fit perfectly, look good and add a nice touch for about $800. That's .026 of the cost of the car.

Its not chrome one. Its the body color spoiler with the brake light in it.
