driver side window problem
driver side window problem
hey i was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Everytime i press the auto switch to wine up my driver side window it wines all the way up and wine sback down about 6 inches by itself and i have to wine it up a couple of time until it finally stays up..anyone else have this problem?
Had that problem and got it fixed. Check the molding, that rubber grip part on the door frame. Mine was not aligned and out of shape, so every time i auto close the window, it would go half way back down. But, when I opened the door and auto closed the window, it was fine.
I had this problem heavily at one point. Took it in and seemed fine for a bit but then happened again. Best way to avoid it is when rolling up windows just hold the up switch till its all the way up. Pretty much the only solution I have come up with

lol. my stupid windows will one touch all the way down but will no longer one touch roll all the way up. 3 days later the drivers side is fine and the pass side is still retarded.. Haven't had time to take it in to the dealer. Sounds like a common problem.
...the above 15 sec solution didn't help me

Were your doors closed when you did the 15 second procedure? Make sure all the doors are closed. And when you pull up, you need to pull it up all the way, like you were activating the auto up feature. Hold it in the auto up position for 15 seconds.
Yes they were both closed. As a matter of fact I can only roll up the pass window if the pass door is closed. For some reason the window will only roll up when the door sensor is activated (closed door). If the door is open the window will not go up at all, only down.
Such a stupid problem to have..

It means the window sensor is out of calibration. The 15 second procedure is the way to recalibrate it. Try disconnecting your negative battery terminal for 1 minute and perform the 15 second procedure again.
If when youre holding the up button and the window stops on its way up. Release the up button and hold it again. Keep holding it for 15 seconds after it rolls all the way to the top.
If that still doesnt work, then the window sensor must be broken.
