if you look in the bottom of the door pull you will see a small slot, place a flathead screwdriver in that slot and GENTLY pry the pull off the door. Once the bottom pops up, do the same toward the middle of the door pull and loosen the middle section of the pull. The top of the door pull has a hook like lip on it, raise the door pull up toward to window and it off. Hope this helps!!

 

just one more fyi....the door pulls on the 08 are in fact aluminum, if you look at the first set of sanding pics, you can see it, for those of you who feel you may be able to mimic the washi pattern, im sure this could be achieved. Then just clear coat a few times to protect and you will have a similar 09 door pull...
