Moving Seat - Car Off

Hi guys,

Just curious about something...

Tonight I was messing around with my seat to remove something that was stuck inside (other thread) and was moving the seat all the way forward from the farthest position, and all the back from the farthest position. I was also moving it all the way up and down as well. I was using the controls on the side of the seat using the seat motors to move the seat. I noticed it moves pretty slow?

Anyways, I was wondering if this is ok to do with the car off? Does this put a large draw/hurt the battery? Does this hurt/take life off the battery?

Thanks.

I do this all the time. No worry. Your battery will recharge next time you start the car.

Our sedan is set up to automatically adjust the seat, steering wheel position, and sideview mirrors every time power is switched on or off. No worries.

It might be a different story if someone was just running the seat back and forth for a couple of hours though.

Either way, what you're doing isn't going to hurt anything. Carry on.
